SCHOOL OF PLANNING AND ARCHITECTURE

School of Planning and Architecture is a higher education institution in Vijayawada that specializes in the field of urban planning and architecture. The campus design brief included requirements for the Architecture college and the hostel.

The axial Master Plan for the campus originated in response to the extreme climate of Vijaywada and how they want to project themselves as an institute. A wind tower marks the climax of an interactive axis flanked by blocks for the School of Planning and Architecture. A series of courtyards connect these introverted volumes. A radial design is used for the housing block to cope with the harsh climate in the area.
